So how long was it last time since I watched a drama series…? Shuffle maybe…?
I watch raw’s from time to time, either is ep1 for first impression of the whole thing or just those random anime which require almost no Japanese to understand. (I.E. Lucky Star and Doujin work etc)
2nd year just started for our main character Makoto Ito (the type doesn’t have enough resolution to do thing by him self and get stuck between “to do” and “not to do” tends to need a push from side) falls in love with the girl: Katsura Kotonoha (2nd main char, the shy and frail type in surface, tends to has more than that beneath, like a sleeping volcano, burst out doing the emotional times) that he rides train every day to school with, snapping a sneak photo of Katsura from his phone leads us the urban saying: “if you keep the photo of the one you love secretly in your phone for 3 weeks, the love will come true.”
Makoto, fancying the picture of Katsura while thinking the saying were just a joke got surprise jumped by Saionji Sekai which assigned to be Makoto’s desk partner, (introduce of our 3rd main char, the energetic type that tends to be pushy, has “do it” first “consequence” later attitude in her) having been found out by Saionji that Makoto has a crash on Katsura, Saionji decided to help Makoto out by supporting him from side. (But just helping out…?)
Introducing of 2 side char: a silent tsundere and a pervert (lol)
While Makoto spacing out, Taisuke (the pervert) jumps on Makoto and bashing him for have some kind of connection with Saionji which Makoto just denies it with “she’s just loud mouth” etc, speaking of the witch Saionji interrupts them with “Ito, I have something to tell you, but not here… you would be in trouble if other people heard about this.” Two people alone in the roof, a confession…?
Rather than that, Saionji tells Ito that she became closer to Katsura in order to help him, while Ito had no idea how popular he was amongst girls seemed to be annoyed and misunderstood Saionji started spreading that he had a crush on Katsura… we also learned that Katsura has a boy in her heart but who?
Next day we continue our little paper IRC game in class, ends up Saionji fixed a lunch in roof with both Katsura and Ito, but not mentally prepared Ito refuse to have the lunch still got dragged to roof by Saionji. (Suddenly I remember this scene from game that they *BEEEEEEEEP* at roof ;D) Joke aside, nervous has taken Ito cause him doing weird stuff in front of Katsura, having the at first sight good looking hand made sandwich from Katsura which also taste “good” made the other 2 victim to Katsura’s first time cooking. Saionji leaves for “toilet” left Ito and Katsura alone, which made Ito even more nervous.
Later that night, Ito were thankful for having Saionji set up the lunch over the phone, and were fully spirited saying that he’s gonna tell Katsura about his feeling, but Saionji seem to be anxious somehow.
So it happened, confessing as the train passes by… how did it go? We don’t know yet.
Doing the P.E. class Katsura sitting out for been weak, Saionji join up with her and learns that she accepted Ito’s feeling and that guy who she had crash on were actually Ito.
After school Ito waits for Katsura at train station but Saionji showed first, before she enters the train, she gave Ito a Kiss…
We end ep one here with rest of the side char shown.

Thoughts:
I couldn’t concentrate the first 15 minutes of this anime… mainly because every time I see the face of Katsura my mind starts remind me of stuff like *this* and *that* happened in the game… (Like I said before I’ve “watched” the whole game, not story wise, but entertainment wise) so it’s like “see your favorite anime character in hentai.” Dwelling between reality and day dreaming… It’s when the “unexpected” (my prediction always wins) kiss landed on Ito’s lips that had me come to it, School Days developed faster than to be excepted lots of action going on already. As for the setup: a triangle drama with a loser a shy girl and a both side supporter. Who will be the one who suffer most? It doesn’t matter because I’ll be the one who laughing at it in the end! Really looking forward for how they plan to end this… (This kind reminds me a bit of Negi, Yue and Nodoka from Negima.)
As for the animation they did a good job, Saionji’s nail were pretty detailed (no I don’t have nail fetish…)
Oh yeah, I think Wings want this so it will probably be him who’s gonna do this in future (hes kinda “busy” with his stuff atm… my ass ;p)
