First out: another crazy adventure with the princess! I’m back to anime and filled with spirit (guess last weekend made it!)
Hime and the otheres went out for some reason we don’t know and hasn’t come back yet, Sawawa and Liza been left home alone. Both Liza and Reiri react to the Lunar Eclipse… something going on here?
Ofcause their car crashed, having Hiro sighted a village, they decided to check it out and hoping for someone might repair their car.
Fog gets thicker as they getting closer to village; Flandre venturing into the mist leaves Hiro and Hime alone, suddenly someone tall and big assaults Hime with a sickle from behind. Dodging the attack, Hime and Hiro slides down the mountain and gets closer to the village. Upon landing (we get some fan service) we find Hime twisted her foot, unable to walk Hiro carrying Hime toward village. (More fan service)
Inside village, finding no one around, they came across a board with something interesting: picture of a woman who seems to be village chief’s wife according to the news article next to the picture, suddenly someone said something from behind which related to the article, Hime turns around and finds no body?! (spooooooky)
Came across a house which from first sight seems to having people lives in; Hime burst into the house and treat her foot with first aid and tells Hiro the village is deserted base upon her sense. So they decide to leave this place.
As they’re leaving, passing the board which been changed by someone?! They learned that chief’s wife been decapitated by a sickle and chief it self is missing, once again voices from behind which turns out to be no ones.
Passing the bridge once that leaded them into the village, as they running out the mist getting thicker, as mist fades away Hime and Hiro finds them self back to the board which once again changed: Village chief is also dead and his son is now missing.
A conversation been held behind them as they turns still no one to see!
Paranoid Hiro found a shadow which seem to belongs to a human on a house near by, they decided to check it out, brag into the house and finds no one around but a dinner table and TV broadcasting about the incident about the village chief and his wife plus the missing son, yet again conversation between 2 shadow out side window… gathering up the courage Hiro opens the window finds no one behind.
A vision show us the guy who assaulted Hime earlier drag a corpse bag moving toward the board and cross mark the Son’s picture…
Back to Hime and Hiro, they found out that they’re 40 year into the past.
On the board; another picture increased… shaken in fear Hiro suggest that they should leave the village again which turns out to be useless because they’re traped in a closed space. (both the clock in the first house, and the TV shows it)
While Hime entrust her life once again to Hiro a loud scream flies across the air, as they reached the spot where scream came from what they find is only a sickle on a layer of ashes that resemble a human… as they realized village’s past caught them, memories keeps moving forward: a fire taken place on top of the village.
Pursuit the memories as their way to the top, fire was over what left was a burnt house and ashes of corpse lying around all over.
Suddenly the killer appeared from nowhere stands in front of them, as he moves toward Hiro which froze in fear decided to run away with Hime when he came to it.
Back to the board which is now filled with picture of the deads… as we finally reveal the story of what’s going on here: a dam will hold here in place of the village as those people who died were the ones that agreed to this project, as for the suspect the opposing groups leader was the one to blame. As those people who found out the truth were all killed by him. Now the killer is broadcasting that they didn’t managed to stop the dam project and everyone should die along with the village because they should honor their ancestors. (Local tradition is scary!)
As water flows in and memories keeps going, Hime and Hiro has no choice but to climb up to a higher place, bottom of the village been swallowen by water, its only matter of time, Hiro and Hime having back to back waiting for the killer to come at them…
So he came, drop down behind he slice the sickle toward Hime but been stopped by Hiro with his fork, having the attention of the killer Hiro been targeted by his sickle. Its when Hime leaps toward the Killer and ends en whole incident with a fork in killers back head.
We end our story here as Hiro and Hime float in the lake and eclipse passes. Next day Hiro wakes up at shore finds Flandre by his side, as well as Hime and the dam in front of them…
Thoughts:
This ep gives you the Silent Hill Higurashi style feeling and its a bit different from the usual eps, eclipse reflect the past explain this episode very well. It had the standard honor elementals so rather been scared I been except some stuff shows up soon or later…
