I did an “all night” to catch up with stuff but I saved best for the last, so I woke up around noon and started with this…

Now that Teppelin has stopped and cities fall apart, the giant face turn out to be a giant Ganmen, Dai-Gurren forced to fall back in order not getting crushed by raining cities. Suddenly a power source similar to Gurren-Lagann’s detected by Dai-Gurren’s radar, curiosity for the truth Gurren-Lagann is heading to the energy and finds the Rasen ou (spiral king) is the source, with only victory in Simon’s mind Gurren-Lagann rushes toward spiral king with a drill attack but stopped by the Teppelin’s finger… overwhelmed by the Teppelin power Gurren-Lagann been flipped back to Dai-Gurren.

On Dai-Gurren: Nia’s request for Simon to take her to the Rasen ou has been granted, as now they’re facing a bigger problem: countless ganman been launched from the Teppelin, in order to pass them Dai-Gurren and others are making preparation to clear a path for Gurren-Lagann.

So the battle begins, Dai-Gurren dan charges once again toward their enemy leave nothing behind!
Finally a path revealed, Dai-Gurren take this opportunity heading toward Teppelin it self but as they’re close in, Teppelin’s left hand smashing toward Dai-gurren, fearless Dai-Gurren combined with Lagann takes it head on, puching a hole through the big mass, Dai-gurren launch its head with Lagann on toward Rasen ou.

Rasen ou praise Simon for getting Inside the Teppelin, Viral show up with his enchanted body going up against Simon but in the end hes no match to Simon, after swept to the side by Simon.

Nia finally be able to confront Rasen ou about why he chased humans to underground and slaughter them, Rasen ou claims to be protector of the humans.

Rasen ou made his move by activated Razengan (Ganmen similar to Gurren-Lagann) so the fight starts: Simon pulled a “Giga Drill Breaker” straight away, but it been countered by Razengan, facing the impossible scene Rossiu is about to give up, but Simon in the other hand told the exactly same thing Kamina told him in a situation like this, calm downed Rossiu regain his fighting spirit, Lagann launched it self toward Razengan but stopped by his fist, realized that Lagann is trying take control, Razengan blew it arm off.

Clash between 2 drills; Rasen ou is getting all exciting and going all out in order to finish this by turning Razengan into a drill but Simon counters by turning Lagann into drill aswell, Simon filled with confident drilling through Razengan, Rasen ou walks out of cockpit and moves toward Lagann, exhausted Simon didn’t except this took some heavy blow from Rasen ou.

We end our first arc of Gurren Lagann with Rasen ou leaves his last word to Simon: “Moon will become the messenger from hell and destroy earth once it reached population of one million.”
The fall of Rasen ou is also fall of the Teppelin, Viral falls into a hole and vanishes, our hero celebrate the fall of Teppelin at the dawn of the 7th day…

Thoughts:
Remember ep 1 The big Gurren Lagann? The awesomeness! Simon’s GAR factor goes up once again, but He’ll never surpass Kamina’s imo.
Viral might play a big roll doing the upcoming arc, he learned something about human that we never get to know so he’ll show up soon or later…
Fights scenes in this ep is as good as ever, especially the one vs one fight between Gurren-Lagann and Razengan I was sure they would end it in ep 16 since I heard from others that first arc ends in ep 16, but they didn’t drag this long enough to have a cliffhanger ep.

As for next ep:
Summary ep, good call for me to having a short review about the early ep that I didn’t blogged.
